From the Cubby Hole...Valentine Cards!

It's crunch time if you are getting valentine cards ready for school parties, and here are a few ADORABLE ideas I just happened to run across today :) There were several others that I had hoped to snap pictures of, but...my kids tore into them for the treats before it happened!

My personal favorite, I'm Nuts and Bolts About You! (The belly of the robot held a piece of chocolate)

Flower with Sucker (construction paper made flower holding a sucker)

You're Out Of This World! (Construction paper wrapped crayons to look like a rocket)

Bear Hugs For You (teddy bear cookies in treat bag)

Valentine I'm Over The Rainbow For You (colorful note with rainbow glasses)

There Is Gak For That!

When it was too hot to be outside, we took an almost 2 hour break to make a little Gak...my kids all time favorite craft. And yes, I left my kids without shirts...it was just easier that way!

The simple recipe:

1 part Elmer's Glue (we used 1/4 cup)

1 part liquid starch (we used 1/4 cup)

food coloring

Bowl to stir it in

Zip Lock bag to keep it in

Mix and stir!

For a four and two-year-old you can't imagine something more fun to them. Their Gak became airplanes, triangles, snakes and trees. They smashed it, rolled it up and bounced it on the table. I do warn though, don't let them put in their hair or try to stick it to their clothes...boy will it stick!
